This will be my first year here at Copper Basin.  I’m bringing 38 years of experience  and stories in education as a teacher, coach and administrator to share with your children. I graduated from Brigham Young University and then added a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Texas Southern University.  My emphasis will be in introducing and encouraging life-long fitness to our kids through fun activities and educating them as to healthy habits  and activities.  I’m celebrating 40 years of marriage with my beautiful wife this year.  She says that its the “best 38 years of her life.”  We have three kids and seven grandchildren that keep us happy and on our toes!  I enjoy camping, fishing, horseback riding and golf.  I’m looking forward to a great year here with your kids at Copper Basin!

Ms. Bishop

Hello, my name is Roberta Bishop and I am the librarian for Copper Basin K-8. I received my teaching degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. I can remember growing up I couldn’t wait for summer so I could go to the library and get books to read. I also enjoy music where I have been fortunate to teach music at Circle Cross Ranch along with teaching piano and voice in Arizona as well as in Florida. Teaching students to acquire a love of reading thereby opening up a whole world of wonder is a goal of mine for this school year. I also have the opportunity to co-teach choir at the school, which has been wonderful.
