Third Grade

Mr. Navarro

I am a proud alum of Arizona State University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  I am a native of Arizona, raised in Superior, a small mining town 30 minutes east of Copper Basin.  I am the youngest of four kids and have 11 nieces and nephews.  Away from the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, camping in the White Mountains, and supporting “America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys.  In my classroom, I believe that every student can learn.  I feel that my students make up the bright future and I hope to encourage their want and need for learning.

Mrs. Morgan

My name is Rebecca Morgan.  My husband and I have been living in Arizona for the last 11 years.   We have two boy’s ages, 6 and 9 they are full of adventure and they keep me on my toes all the time.  I have worked in the Florence Unified School District for the last 9 years.  I began as a para-pro and worked while I then finished my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at University of Phoenix.  I have taught second grade for three years and third grade for three years.  I am currently teaching third grade science and social studies.  I enjoy being able to teach students and see the light bulb go on.

Mrs. Schaeffer
I was born in Miami, AZ and grew up in Superior and Kearny, AZ.  I went to high school in Tempe and graduated as a Tempe Bufffalo from Tempe High School.  I attended ASU for my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education.  My first husband had a lot of health issues, but we raised a beautiful daughter who is also now an educator in Florence Schools District!  After 26 years of marriage he passed away in 2013 through many years of health struggles.  I learned a lot about perseverance from him and want to instill that spirit in my students along with the academic content they will need.  I have since remarried and learning a lot still about life.  I am a lifelong learner and received my Master's from University of Phoenix while teaching in Las Vegas, NV.  I am currently pursuing my doctorate in School Psychology from Capella University.  I have taught 3rd grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, 9th grade, spent 7 years as a high school counselor at CHS, and now have returned to the classroom I love in 3rd grade Math.  I love learning and find out everyday I still have a lot to learn!  I look forward to instilling a love and desire for lifelong learning in my students as well.
